I have an old FSAE car that I autocross locally. Now that I have run some events I started changing all the fluids.
I read on torsen's site that they take 75w90. I took the plug out of my diff and nothing came out. There are no signs of it all leaking out but the car set for a long time before I got it. Do some teams run them in grease. I read that torsen doesn't recommend this. I plan on doing a full tear down this winter so I will know more about the diff then but I don't want to damage it before then.. thanks Chad

Our 08 car ran a torsen diff, with grease (not sure why it was done that way since it ran in comp before I joined the team, probably due to problems sealing the diff). Then this year, due to a machinist dropping out last minute, we ended up having to reuse the diff, given with new grease, but it's been fine through quite a bit of driving.

Pretty sure we used gear oil last year, not sure what kind though. We were using the Torsen T2.
