RCR Race Engineering / Vehicle Performance Group Entry Level Positions (NASCAR)

Richard Childress Racing is a championship winning organization based out of Welcome, NC, USA, fielding multiple teams in the top tiers of NASCAR competition.

We are currently looking for candidates to strengthen our Race Engineering / Vehicle Performance Group. We are looking for unique individuals than can bring new ideas and skills to strengthen our organization. You will work closely with the driver, crew chief and mechanics to derive the optimum set-up for your driver and track conditions. In addition you will communicate criteria for future research and development projects to the Design and Aerodynamics departments.

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical Preferred)
• Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation is essential
• Data analysis experience in MATLAB and Motec or equivalent
• Strong analytical and practical problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with non-engineers
• Must be able to work calmly in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of tire data and Pacejka models a definite plus
• Basic programming skills also a plus.
