Goodyear D2692 beading pressure

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone who uses or has used the Goodyear D2692 can give me some idea of the pressure they required to bead them onto rims?

In the past we used the D1385 and have had to use extremly high pressure to bead them on, so just trying to find out if the D2692 are better in this aspect...

Any help would be appriciated!

Hi Brendan,

We've used a range of tyres in the past, including the Goodyears, and have found that around 40psi is enough to get them to seat properly. We've often had to do this to get tyre beads to seat properly after having them "fitted" at a local garage.

the current crop of D2692's should seat at a reasonable for most rims.

Good to hear that the D2692 should be easier to bead than the D1385.. coz i can only hope so!

I have memories of a very scared german tyre fitter at FSG 06 attempting to bead the D1385's on...
