I think its great that this website tracks upcomming FSAE events but I wish they also tracked or had a section to list/advertise other FSAE car events. The only example I can think of off hand is the University of Toronto shootout. I'm not sure how many teams know about this event or others like it but for teams with the time and budget, these side events are probably an excellent stage for teams to work out bugs in their vehicle while still having some good competition. Any other thoughts...

There's really not that many events out there. I had suggested a Florida event and would still like to do it, but we have to finish the car first otherwise there's no point in a Florida shootout. So that kind of got put on the backburner.

SCCA does have an FSAE class. It'd just be a matter of getting a couple local schools to come out to that particular autocross so there's someone to compete against.

There will be more information coming up around the Michigan time for the Toronto shootout for this year, the format and the organization is undergoing some tweaking and hopefully will accommodate more teams from further away this year....

Ya it seems there are a lot more independent/fun events popping up. And of course UTA weekend as was mentioned up there. Plus we had the 2nd FSAE challenge event in Salina, KS this past March. We (KU) were there with one car plus two from OU, three from Mizzou, one from K-state, and almost a car from WSU. There were a few other teams who couldn't make it. With a few more teams this could be a stellar event considering how fun it was this year.
