R6 Electrical Question

Hey guys, this is a simple and rather stupid question, but our electrical guy graduated last year and we're still trying to pick up some of the pieces. Is the pickup coil on a stock r6 a hall effect pickup sensor or a variable reluctance style sensor? Thanks.
