I think that our 2002 f41 had a mass of 4.81 slugs, or about 155 pounds. That was measured at nearly sea level, so we assumed that our scale was calibrated to read measurements there, and that gravity was actually 32.2 feet per second squared. I converted the weight measurement to mass from there. I'm curious though--why do you need the mass? Won't the weight do fine, and be easier to work with?

I've never liked slugs-what a crappy name. Go metric.

On a more serious note... I can't remember if that was with or without the starter and FI system, but that is at least a ballpark figure. Anyone care to elaborate?

I remember something like 120lbs for the bare engine. But, I might be mistaken.

It's too bad there's not a search feature or something for questions like this that get asked often... (Note: 3rd button from left)

It works! It hasn't worked for a few months, but now we know it does.
