Tool Cart

We seem to have enough help around the shop this year to actually build a tool cart for competition/autocrosses, but we're a pretty new team, and don't have enough experience to know what we need. Would anyone be willing to offer some advice on what are some immediate track needs? (i.e. rain tires, spare parts, various tools, etc)

I got a couple shots of other folks' carts from Detroit in '04, but nothing terribly helpful.

If you plan for it, it won't break. Your safest bet is to keep a second car in a box and pull parts out as you need them.

Aside from the usual tools, here are some of the things we've needed at the 11th hour...

Our cart is roughly 4Lx2Wx3H. we used 8" castor wheels to get over the electrical humps at comp. its got a big door on the front and one on the side. Here's what it holds and features:
-tires
-oil
-air tank
-gas
-fire extingusher
-co2 tank
-hooks for helmets, suits, jackets etc.
-three drawers for misc stuff (motor, susp, other)
-tool box (just put on top of box)
-handle with integral umbrella holder
-battery
-whatever we need that day

it is also a good height to lean against or do laptop stuff with. I can send pics just email me.
