While preparing for 2009 FSAE (yeah in over a year, starting from scratch) I noticed that when using a turbo the throttle body and then restricter need to be upstream of the turbo. When idling the entire intake after the throttle body will be in vacuum. I figured this might cause the oil to leak through the seal into the compressor housing and into the intake. A vacuum pump or dry sump would fix this problem as long as there is a greater vacuum created by the pump than in the intake, or atleast close.

Does this happen? I am going with a garrett GT15 or GT12. How do you make sure the turbo is properly lubricated and returned to the engine in regards to the pump?

You're right about the vaccuum. It sucks.

I recall a post within the last 6 months dealing with exactly this issue.

Search "FSAE turbo sealing solution" or some combination thereof.
