The topic of changes to points allocation at FSAE-Australia has been mentioned in another thread and I think it deserves a thread of its own.

Static Events: NEW OLD COMMENT
Engineering Design 200 150 Agree
Presentation 50 75
Cost Analysis 100 100
TOTAL STATIC 350 325

Dynamic Events:
Acceleration 50 75 Silly
Skid-Pad 75 50 Agree
Autocross 100 150
Fuel Economy 125 50 Agree
Endurance 300 350
TOTAL DYNAMIC 650 675
Total Points: 1,000 1,000

Endurance and Autocross have the same focus - primarily cornering and agility - and totalled half the competition points (now 400). Skid pad is a pure cornering event and while I agree the points were too low when compared to Autocross and Endurance, I don't think Acceleration should have been downgraded to the lowest value of all dynamic events - it is the only dynamic event that does not have a cornering focus.
