OK-
You probably should have put these posts all in one.

What is wrong with the f4i injectors? Nothing, dont change them.

major_ashwa, i have deleted all your topics in order to keep the topics to the minimum. It makes easy to use the "search" button in the future if someone is trying to look something up.

Here's what major_ashwa had asked in 4 other new topics he created. Help him out if you guys can ...

1.What type of crank & cam sensors does honda f4i 2002 engine engine have?

2.What type of ignition system can we use if we are using motec m800 ?

3. what crank and cam triggers (number of teeth as well) does the honda f4i 2002 engine have ?

4.what ignition system does honda f4i 2002 engine have ?

5.what alternate high performance injector, crank/cam connectors in place of stock setup ?

what kind of pistons does honda f4i engine have -- r they forged bcoz we need to know if it can handle GT 12 TURBO.

Can you tell me if the ignition coils on the engine have two pins or three? what kind of ignition modules to run the coils?

can anyone enlighten me on what trigger pattern is on the crank trigger disc . There should also be a single tooth "Sync" sensor on one of the cams (which i am not sure of )?

the cam and crank are 2 wire magnetic sensors and will work with motec....or at least the M4 ECU.

There are 12 evenly spaced teeth on the crank and 3 unevenly spaced teeth on the cam.
I can go into detail about how i got the M4 running our F4i, but that would hamper your learning process. Setting up a ECU is very straight forward and gives you the confidence of knowing everything is correct. There is no black magic involved, just common sense and a understanding of how fuel injection and a engine work. If you have specific questions im sure myself or someone can field those.

As far as a i know the stock pistons are cast al...as far as if they can withstand a turbo, well i recomend researching that question.
The ignition system on the F4i as far as a i know is a standard inductive system, although this is stuff in the service manual about measuring peak voltages that makes me wonder if its capacitive discharge. Each coil has two wires, and will require a coild driver. Which you can buy from motec or autozone if you know what car to get it off. You can also make your own coil driver.

out of curiousity why do you want to run the m800?

1.What type of crank & cam sensors does honda f4i 2002 engine engine have?
the stock crank sensor is a mag i dont know about the stock cam we dont use it

2.What type of ignition system can we use if we are using motec m800 ?
whatever you want, stock is fine

3. what crank and cam triggers (number of teeth as well) does the honda f4i 2002 engine have ?
i want to say 12 for the crank but i cant remember, the cam has a weird 3 pronged thing not really sure on that one like i said we dont use it

4.what ignition system does honda f4i 2002 engine have ?
coil on plug non wasted spark

5.what alternate high performance injector, crank/cam connectors in place of stock setup ?
whatever you want, most probably use some form of bosch injector or stock ones

what kind of pistons does honda f4i engine have -- r they forged bcoz we need to know if it can handle GT 12 TURBO.
it can handle a gt12 ive run it on stock pistons for a long time no problem

Can you tell me if the ignition coils on the engine have two pins or three? what kind of ignition modules to run the coils?
not sure

can anyone enlighten me on what trigger pattern is on the crank trigger disc . There should also be a single tooth "Sync" sensor on one of the cams (which i am not sure of )?
theres ways to get around the single tooth sync but its complicated i would just use a speed sensor and a custom wheel

it sounds like your in way over your head this year, maybe skip the gt12 since this is obviously your first year, the M800 is probably overkill too unless your seriously into data-aq. we use the M800 with an expander module and this year an ADL-2 so you can use all the features and more but i doubt you will be your first year. save some money and buy the m48 or M400

The crank encoder wheel has no 'sync' tooth. the teeth as far as i can tell are evenly spaced and of the same size. The cam sensor is used to 'sync'

you can use the stock setup with a motec M4. Assuming that the more poweriful m800 can accept mag inputs like the m4 you should be fine. Getting this setup to work requires minor modification to the cam setup and measurement of the various parameters that motec needs. Rising/falling edge...crip angle so on
