For all those teams building your pedal assemblies do you use bushings or bearings and why? and how heavy are those things coming? just the pedals and the frame...

the typical life and movement of the pedals, I wouldn't see any reason to run bearings, bushing will more than sufice

Bearings, cause they are awesome.

You have to be more specific on the what exactly counts towards the weight. Bias Bar? Master Cylinders? Resevoirs? Heel Rest? Hidden Nitrous Microswitch? I mean uhhh..

Just a friendly and hopefully obvious reminder, there is a large amound of force on the entire pedal tray and any flexing allowed in the tray itself will register with the driver as a mushy pedal and make them unhappy. Trust me.

We used bushing last year in our pedal assembly and it was a pretty sloppy mess after the competition. This year we're going with bearings. They may weight a bit more, but at least our pedal won't have an inch of sideplay in it.

Broad delrin bushings, and a close fit. Might also look into UHMW Polyethylene.
