I am doing a project at uni about exhaust silencers and have a small questionaire that i would be greatful to get some feedback on

1. Why did you buy the current silencer? Where did you get it? How much did it cost?


2. What materials do you normally use? Why? Does cost affect this decision?


3. Were you pleased with the performance of your last exhaust silencer? If not, why?


4. Have you used E-glass before?


5. How much would you be willing to spend on an exhaust silencer?


6. What would be the main features you would be looking for when buying an exhaust silencer?


7. What do you think of our design which is an absorptive silencer using a stainless steel perforated inner tube, a layer of stainless steel mesh wool, a layer of E-glass (glass fibre) and an aluminium outer case?
