Hi all,
I have been trying to test the wishbones for buckling but not able to know which type of buckling it would be ??
Fixed-free
Hinged-hinged ... etc
We use hollow steel pipes in wishbones.

Also I am doing analysis of buckling on Solid Works - Student Edition...
Does it have bearings at both ends?

Why do you need SolidWorks for checking if your a-arms are going to buckle or not? It is a dead simple equation, you should really do that by hand, or maybe in an excel sheet! Wikipedia "buckling" and "second moment of area" for further information...
The way you asked that question makes me think you have no clue what buckling actually is, and you're just trying to produce some colorful "FEA"-picture...

I thinking of an a-arm with a faucet in the middle.

Why should it buckle if you have bearings at both ends?

rhe buckling mode is fix-free.
if youll take of the inboard bolt you still wont be able to rotate it around the outboard point so it fixed
