Is anyone familiar with the .tir and .tps files used by some simulations to store tyre models?

The simulation software I'm using (veDYNA) uses a TM-EASY tyre model, but can import pacejka models through these .tir/.tps files.

I have found a template in some veDYNA folders but theres is no explanation as to what all of the parameters mean.

I assume that this file format is a standard, but I can't find a decent explanation of it anywhere. Has anyone used these files before?

Anyone from Delft used them to define a MF-TYRE model?

not jet, but this year there is a possibility to generate a MF tyre model from the actual tyres which are on the car to use in adams.

I am currently graduating at TNO. (Delft Tyre is a department of TNO). I am using .tir files. I have a tir file which explaines what every parameter stands for. maybe it will help you?

Vinnie, could you send this .tir file to my email? david_queiroz@hotmail.com
Thanks a lot

Vincent,

I would very much like to grab a copy of that file!

My email is tim.wright@curtin.edu.au

Just for my own knowledge, where did these files originate? Are they a Delft invention or an ADAMS invention?

Thanks again,
