Any recommended reads on suspension design and analysis?

Modeling the spring is no problem with hand calcs, or Motion, but how do you model a dampener?

Can you use differential Eq w/constant Dampening Coeff.?

Is a shock absorber have a constant Damping Coefficient?

Do manufacturers even give any type of data for the shock absorber?
