Just for fun here-

With 2 official and 1 un-official competition now sold out with wait lists, if you could add another competition to the North American calender where would you put it?

Both Vancouver and Las Vegas come to mind as reasonable possibles to me. Vegas would certainly open up the calender as well - maybe an October date to bring new recruits to?

VIR would be nice to bring back too, or at least something with elevation changes just to mix it up.

What do you think?

California was nice due to the proximity to a mountain, LA, the beach, and In-N-Out burger.

Something in Florida would be cool due to the climate in the winter, and the attractions. Maybe a race at Sebring so Z won't be able to complain about us not using our suspensions?

COTA in Austin has some really nice facilities now, and a decent amount of elevation change (autocross on Turn 1?), not to mention Austin is a nice city (and Sixth Street...).

Though for those people on the left side of the countries, I suppose something out there would be helpful. Maybe Seattle to test out everyone's wet driving skills?

How about a competition in Florida in the late fall or early winter?

I'm with Canuck on this one, the NW is getting the shaft, something closer would be nice. I'm thinking late July or August, when it's not so damn rainy (or snowy).

I didn't think of COTA, though I would imagine it would take quite the generous Texas oil baron to get track time there that FSAE could afford.

How about one in the Rocky Mountains? Through some studded snow tires on and have some fun!

A winter competition in the north would be fun as hell! Dynamic events on ice? Sign me up!

I hope you're paying attention to this Formula North.

I think we should host it in the middle of winter, down here in Ottawa.

We stud all the tires and race on the frozen canal here. Just don't touch the walls =P. In all honesty thought, we should organize and create more events for Canada, sorry USA you got more then we do! We have a big area in Ottawa near Scotia bank place, where Autocrossers go. MCO organize that, we go in the summers.

And no offense, Canada, but we also have a higher number of teams per square yard. (That is just under a square meter http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif )

Two words:

Cork. Screw.

That being said, Miller Sports Park in SLC is a fantastic venue.

As long as someone gets us running on the Mosport Karting Track just like the Toronto Shootout this year for an autocross course. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

why not just expand on the UTA shootout?? I've never been down there so I've no clue on facilities or anything but making it down there has been on the teams "to do" list for quite some time now.

something with some actual elevation change would be great. although on as tight of a circuit as we're looking at...that maybe a bit challenging. Anything full size would warrant less down pounds and changing our sproket out to more of a stock size....doing 100 in that r6 would be scary.
