Hello,
My team is planning to have a winter testing week during our spring break, which takes place from February 29 to March 9. Since we are in Canada, and that the weather is not really suitable for such an activity, we are currently looking for a team that could host us.
This is a description of the ideal host team:
- Located on the east coast (North, South Carolina, Virginia, or in this area). The temperatures should be suitable for testing. As close to Montreal as possible.
- Can share a testing location with us.
- Can share a workshop in case of a failure during testing.
Your help would be really appreciated!

Hi again,
I made a list of the teams that could possibly help us. They are located in a range of 2000 km from Montreal and have a mild mean temperature for the month of March. Of course, if a team not included in the list can help, it would be great.

I beleive our winter testing plans would be a lot more difficult to achieve without a host team, because finding a location to test on in a place we don't know at all seems almost impossible. Also, it would be nice to have some support in case of a major mechanical problem.
Thanks!

As of right now we use parking lots at our school they are not the largest lots to practice in but they do ok. We only have certain times that we can use them though so as you know what days you might be ready to make the trek and do some testing let me know and we may be able to arrange something. I am also currently looking for a larger more readily available test location which would certainly make this even easier to arrange.
Either way, our mid march temperatures are not too bad but not necessarily extremely predictable. We are probably a lot closer than most of the other places on your list though. send me an e-mail and I'll give you my contact info.

Didier,
There are many indoor facilities in Montreal that you can take advantage of. It all depends on the testing you need to do. As higher speeds will not be attained on indoor tracks. I know your school has been in contact with the Go-Kart track on Décarie, also try Cicuit 500 on Hochelaga. You can also try some indoor parking lots (ie Rockland) although the temperatures will take a great affect.

Michael,
We would like to be able to do skid-pads and accelerations, as well as proper autocross. Indoor kartings are a lot too small for that. Also, it is not really possible to run there for a whole week...
Thanks for the advice anyway.
