Yamaha R6 03 SolidWorks Model

There is a 2003 Yamaha R6 modeled in SolidWorks at spreadsheet-cad (http://www.spreadsheet-cad.com) in the download section. This was modeled from measurements and data gathered from a CMM. Previous years of the Cal State Northridge formula team were fortunate to have access to this model and now its available to everyone.

Question, on that site, what's the difference between the "Yamaha R6 engine 03" model and the "Higher Level Yamaha R6 03 Assembly?" http://www.spreadsheet-cad.com/index.php?ind=downloads&op=section_view&idev=8
If you look, the later of the two is over twice as big of a file. Is the valvetrain included?

The difference between the "Yamaha R6 engine 03" model and the "Higher Level Yamaha R6 03 Assembly"� is the following:
"Yamaha R6 engine 03" is a barebones assembly of a R6 engine for use in a higher assembly like a formula car as an ICD shown in the top picture. The "Higher Level Yamaha R6 03 Assembly"� is the next assembly up with more components (excluding the valvetrain). The bottom picture is the final engine assembly with crankshaft, pistons and transmission. This assembly is not posted on the website do to its file size.

It is worth noting the new transmission design and additional engine modifications (such as a Dry Sump) were successfully designed and manufactured. Also this engine was used in the 2005 Formula student and 2006 FSAE competitions.

? Yes it is, that's how I found out about it. It says 29MB or something like that. Or are you saying that the final assembly is different than the Higher Level assembly?

I have a problem, I just found out that our engine is actually an 02. Do any of you know if the major components of the block (like engine mounts, block shape, water inlet/outlet) are different, or is it the same engine, just fuel injected?

not positive, but since there was a new frame that year, I am assuming that engine mount locations would also be different. The sportbike market is a very very competetive market and the race ahs really heated up in the last few years, bikes are going through complete redesigns every 3 years now.
