Looks like GFR is taking an early lead thanks to those static events. Any updates, pictures, stories, etc are much appreciated!

Congrats to Eindhoven and GFR for winning overall electric and combustion respectively. Anyone willing to give a summary of the event? What happened to TU Munchen?

Apparently we (TUfast) had greased our chain to good so the engine and surrounding part of the rear frame was spread in oil from the chain. unfortunately, there were also dripped two small drops to the track during driver change. the scrutineers themself were not sure but finally decided to pull us out.
I must admit, our understanding for this decision is very small.
The fact that we were the fastest car out there by nearly one second makes it even worse.

Some highlights and random thoughts:
- The organizer kept all the good points (camping nearby, relaxed and friendly atmosphere) and dramatically improved the weak point from last year (judging), resulting in a great event.
- Electric cars took 4th and 5th place overall, not bad for a first year.
- Four electric cars registered. Four electric cars finished endurance.
- TU Munich was incredibly fast in endurance, some would even say too fast.
- Darmstadt did an awesome job in dynamics
- GFR scored very well in fuel consumption, compared to the other ICE cars.
- Does anybody know how the Autodesk award was judged?
- The Design Final was one of my personal highlights. There should be Finals at every competition in every class.
- One of our endurance drivers (Arnold from Joanneum) has never driven the car before competition, but was very fast and consistent.
- Just like in 2009, we had seven team members and won three awards.
I'd like to thank the organizer for the courage to allow electric cars. My conclusion is that, under the current rules, the best team wins, no matter which concept.

Thomas
