I think it's a great idea personally, fairer than first come first served and should slow down the teams that don't know what they are doing! I've not seen the test quiz as I'm not a member of a team any more, but it should give a good indication of what to expect so you don't go in blind.

The only downside is that some teams may be hindered when English isn't their first language, but at the end of the day, the rules are what make the competition and you need to understand the rules fully to make a good car!

It seems like as good a way of registering as any other. It certainly seems fair that the teams with the best knowledge of the rules have an advantage during registration.

Also, it shouldn't be a problem as we should all know the rules inside out anyway.
