Hi,

I am posting a question on behalf of one of my team members from the monocoque chassis design group (having trouble signing up to the forums....).

"I have a question about the experiment for belt attachment points.
according to the new 2015 rules, there is a section which states the the experiment for belt attachment point must be must be tested with the worst case for a range of angles.(T.31.4- p.48)
I have planned the experiment so the the force pulling and shearing the CF sandwich will be orthogonal the to plate, that way i get the highest loads there can be to "rip" the CF layers.

Do i need to do the experiment in other angles ? cause 90 is the worst case scenario.

I would be happy if you could help me with that matter"

Would appreciate any help with this, Thanks,

Tomer,

This is clearly an issue you should raise with the Rules Committee of whatever event you intend to enter.

Yes, that is the sure way to go. We just thought it will be better to ask here to get some quick answers before we go for that.
Thanks!

Still, If someone had any experience with that experiment, we would be happy to know.
