For our car this year we have been researching the use of heims rod ends instead of the traditional pressed spherical ends.
Heims ends we found are cheaper and require a pressed force around 4000 lbs to break whereas spherical ends we have broken at 400 lbs
Does anyone known of other teams using these ends?

You're going to have to be more specific of how you will use the rod ends. Just know that if you put rod ends in bending, you will get destroyed in the design event..

The heims ends are going to be used for our suspension mounts, the housing will be mounted perpendicular to the ground with added sleeves for support.

I think you need to provide more information. Do you have part number of the sphericals that broke? What is the mode of failure you experienced with the sphericals? Rod end bearings (heim is a slang term) are not in and of themselves necessarily stronger than spherical bearings.
Feel free to contact me direct at 630-859-2030 or jmccrory@aurorabearing.com and we can get more direct, or we can hash it out here, whichever you would prefer.

Pretty much what dirtman288 said. I am posting for our suspension guy and will post his data up on monday.
Why would we be destroyed in the design event with them?

Just search for "rod ends in bending."
