Thank you to the many people who have offered condolences and told stories.

Friends from Watkins Glen will host a tribute to Bill/Dad as part of their Grand Prix Festival, the details will be posted here:
    http://grandprixfestival.com/legends.html
Friday Sept. 7, 2012, 3pm in Lafayette Park (at the north end of the village). This is also a big vintage racing weekend at Watkins Glen International (the track), and later that evening vintage race cars will make laps of the original street circuit.

We just posted a text version of Bill telling stories about Maurice Olley, see the bottom paragraph of:

Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I, like many students on this forum, am an aspiring motorsports engineer and the first book that was recommended to be by others in the field, and also colleagues of mine, was RCVD by Bill and Doug, and it is still a main reference for me as I continue to learn. I think that shows the level of accomplishment and achievement by Bill in that even though many years have passed since publishing, his work is still held in such high regard by people in his field. I did not get to meet Bill in real life, but from reading the stories that others have told about him and the kind of person he was, I very much wish I had. My sincere condolences to his friends and family.

A reminder about the tribute to Bill at the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival is on tommorow. Please read the above post by DougMilliken.
