Out of curiosity, what is the maximum speed an FSAE car can reach in the UK layout of the endurance race? (or other events who have similar layouts).
I am guessing something like 60 mph?

GFR's max speed in the 2011 FSUK sprint was 90.1 kph. The organizers opened the track up a bit for endurance. Our max speed in endurance was 96.8 kph, but our average speed for endurance was considerably lower than for the sprint because of the wet track for the final six.
At the 2010 FSG, our max speed in endurance was 93.7 kph. In 2011, on a nearly identical track it was 90.7 kph. The aero gave us a lower top speed, but a considerably higher average speed.
