Thread: Rennteam Stuttgart: New Frame

Short video of "unboxing" frame tubes. Seems like a comeback to a beautiful tubular steel space frame... Nice!

Any particular reason to do so?

Why does the frame come in a box. Is it outsourced?

The AFX Master: Yeah, April the 1st...

Charlie: Tube ends are lasercut so it's a bit easier to carry them from one place to the other when they're boxed.

Hell, i´ve replied first, and then went to watch the vid only to realise it was Helsinki´s chassis, and April Fools..

I know you´re hiding a papier maché chassis for Germany this year

Just to clarify, this is Helsenki Polytechnic's videostream, not Stuttgart's

Stuttgart = monocoque and going to MIS.

Helsenki = tubes and absolutely NOT going to MIS.

    Definitely got me.

Although I did watch the video at a very early hour in the morning after being awake for quite a long time. I remember them talking to them about reducing the stiffness of their chassis this year, and figured that would be an easy way to do it :P
