Most Denso ecu before 2000 are not programmable.
The only solution is to use a piggy back system, like e-manage, interceptor, etc.

I'm talking about ECU's after 2000.
Will it be helpful in if I want to change the gear shift RPM values, Fuel injection data...analyse sensor inputs, etc. ?
Overall I want to go for real time tuning of my ecu during the vehicle run..

no, the stock ECU's that come with the Maruti 800 will not offer you such flexibility as they have to be reflashed to make changes for which you will have to invest in an e-prom reader. plus i believe that this car has just fuel injection and no electronic spark control. hence using a aftermarket ecu or a piggy back system seems to be the best option. if funds are a problem i would suggest Performance electronics ecu.
