I assume you are looking to do this for use with Adams Flex?

A .mnf file is generate by an fea program. You would import the prarsolid into Patran (Again, still assuming you have the MSC FSAE bundle) and then prep the FEM for analysis and then generate a MNF file.

This tutorial is good but is for Patran 2004, so its a little outdated, but the steps are generally the same:

Once you get your mnf, there is a tutorial of how to import in Adams Car in the Adams help docs.

If you have any trouble, try posting on the MSC Adams University forums:

    http://forums.mscsoftware.com/adams/ubbthreads.php

There are several active experts there, and I'm active on there to, haha. Its actually quite involved, but well worth the result.

If I was wrong any you have found another use for a MNF outside of Adams, please let me know, as I would be interested in what it was for...
