Thread: Maruti Suzuki Supra SAE India 2011 (FSAE India 2011) Photos

  1. #1
    I just found out that FSAE India 2011 was held over last weekend.

    The official website (http://suprasaeindia.org/supra_Saeindia.asp) has some news & results, although the most photo coverage was on this website - http://www.theautomotiveindia....lusive-coverage.html

    There's even a YouTube video on that page, though I'll also put a link right here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...=channel_video_title

    I hope more coverage + photos surfaces over the next few days/weeks.

    With FSAE Michigan % California just over, and FStudent coming up, it seems like all the comps are happening at once.

    Also, in order to mark safety as the first criteria, rules hold fire extinguisher as the foremost point. Each SAE Car carried fire extinguishers and first aid kits along. In fact, fuel containers were also stored inside a wooden casing to prevent havoc.

    Wait. Let me get this straight boy...

    We rednecks use gasoline and wood to start fires (havoc) when I was young(er).

    These fellas are using wood and gasoline to stop fires...

    The competition is named Supra SAE India. All the cars participating in this competition have to use Maruti Suzuki 800 cc engine. All other things are similar to other FSAE competitions.

    To prevent the heat accumulated from exhaust pipe, the teams wrapped it up with metal sheets, ropes and piece of clothes.
    I also pray that a team spray paints their iron engine block silver and writes "MAHLE" in large block letters on the valve cover.

    @Spetsnazos:
    Yes. The ECU was re-tuned and then given to all the teams.
