How? Did you put in on credit cards or something?

All transportation and stay type expenses are paid for by the members involved or we'd have trouble building a car each year. Our budget is on the small small side. The engineering department graciously gives us $2000 CDN but there are other funds at the school to apply for that make up most of the cash we have. A huge part of our sponsorship is of the "in-kind" type.

Our budget is pretty tight. We got about 7500 from the school last year. Which has to cover everything from tires, to fuel for practice, to travel. Fundraising has it's limitations when your team is only 8-10 members.

Major sponsorships are tough to secure due to UD's policy regarding it. Student organizations are barred from asking any corporation that donates to the college for additional funds. This sucks considering DE is so rich in big businesses like DuPont, Gore, MBNA, etc...and we can't ask them for a dime.

It's tough to do good R&D on such a tight budget. Everything you have needs to hold together because you can't afford another one
