Thread: Probable reasons for disqualification from Static event

    Hi everyone..

    I m part of a rookie FSAE team from Manipal.

    I just wanted to know the probable reasons for being disqualification from FSAE static events.

    1. Not turning up.
    2. Turning up without a car.
    3. Turning up high on crack.
    4. Turning up without a car while high on crack.

    Come on guys, this is engineering, you need to backup your ideas.

    10.5 Alcohol and Illegal Material
    10.5.1 Alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons or other illegal material are prohibited on the event site
    during the competition. This rule will be in effect during the entire competition.
    10.5.2 Any violation of this rule by a team member will cause the expulsion of the entire team. This
    applies to both team members and faculty advisors.
    10.5.3 Any use of drugs, or the use of alcohol by an underage individual, will be reported to the
    local authorities.
    Unfortunately it looks like anything while high on crack is out.

    But, I bet if you pronounce OptimumG like OptimumGhey, that might disqualify you...

    I don't know, he speaks about his wife very highly.

    I'll throw in two, which might or might not make sense to anyone else:

    Failing to "UNLATCH IT!"
    Not knowing that "You MUST have a balaclava!"

    And of course, both of those while on crack.
