Thread: Autocross/endurance courses

I was looking at the track map from ~1999 and was wondering if this information is given before the event, and if so how long before(at registration?)

Also, how much time is given to walk/study the course beforehand?

Track maps are usually given out at the drivers meeting for the specific event, if I remember correctly.

The autocross course should be available for walking just before the event, just like SCCA autocross courses.

The endurance event might even be set up the night before the event so you should have all night to drive the course in your dreams like a thousand laps.

The past 2 years no maps have been given out. I believe there were maps given in 2000. Autocross track is open for walking for a very short time during the day. The Endurance track will be setup the night before endurance.

In this competition how many runs do you get to make on the auto-x course?...Is it like SCCA where you get 4 or is it a one shot deal?
    Thanks, Micah

Two runs. Your local SCCA region must give 4, we get 3 around here and 3 at nationals.

yeah at the ODR SCCA we sometimes get so many people that we only have time for three runs...but that's cool that we get two runs out there...do they just take the best time from the two? or do they average it?....
    Thanks, Micah

Best time is taken for your score.

This is all spelled out in the rulebook.
