Geez I'm lame. I gotta go with one of two Meatloaf songs... More motorcycle themed than car: Bat out of Hell.
and then the story of my life..
All rev'd up and no place to go.
what about DJ Keoki, Speed Racer, the x-rated version, of course.
Actually, one of my buddies got a PR package from BMW a while back and it came with a CD of tunes written and recorded for beemer. Guaranteed to increase your speed by 10km/h at least, intended or not!

DJ Keoki...definitely a classic. I'm going to have to compile all these things soon. K-Tel made-for-TV compilation, I'm thinking.

There's a song I've heard that starts off with someone taking off in a straight line in a pretty sweet car, and goes into a jamiroquai(sp?) sounding song. (maybe it is jamiroquai) Anyone heard it before?

"Hi, I'm phonyMcRingRing, president and mascot of the telephone company..."
what about motley crue's kickstart my heart, or van halen hot for teacher ( only a car song because of the sweet ass drum intro)

Jamiroquai, 'Travelling without moving'.... we concluded it was a Ferrari F40.. that sweet gated metal on metal noise during shifts... and the available-only-from-ferrari exhaust note... You only need the first 5 seconds again and again and again... sooooo sweet!
What about Dispatch?
"drive" and "Headlights"
Also a great live band
