Keizer racing wheels being the primary and main line we produce. From Drag racing to Dirt tracking you will see it all. We are looking for a team member to help facilitate our growth and implement their skills in a wide range of needs.
You will be tasked with our Cad/Cam processing for Hass mills and lathe work. WE ARE NOT A JOB SHOP! You will post process and create startups. Overseeing existing and new programs to peak efficiency. You will be tasked with creating fixtures and processes from time to time. Trouble shooting problems. Overseeing tool ordering and organization. Help oversee the ordering of new CNC machine tools. You will be contributing and implementing key wheel design changes. The opportunity exist for wheel modeling and designing. You will be tasked with Mold making from time to time. You will be taking your skills and implementing them into new processes and watching them streamline for years to come. This job will see a wide range of creative activities that will keep someone doing something new week in and week out. Further outside field opportunities will be attending racing events, Machine tool shows, and Racing industry trade shows if you desire. We are a hands on within the industry we serve.
Shop Equipment available: Haas Mills/lathe’s, Okuma Lathe’s, CNC laser, Polishing Robotics, Tempering furnaces, CNC metal spinning lathe’s., Mill and drill robotics.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, conduct and standardize manufacturing of machined parts. Improve production processes, create production work-holding and optimize manufacturing of precision parts through programming, automation, work-holding and tool selection. Utilize Cad/Cam, design and planning to achieve production needs. Optimizes manufacturing processes applying knowledge of machining, automation, work-holding, tooling, and materials with input from team members. Implement quality checks with the use of hand inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges) perform occasional maintenance on assembles jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Sets up, runs off, and tests runs to produce a product to specifications.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of CNC machining, g-code, and CAD/CAM software required.
• Requires the ability to analyze behavior of the programming code to diagnose, correct, and improve programming. The ability to create G-code with both CAM and manual programming.
• Good judgment and problem solving skills. Organization and time management skills required.
• Proficient with Solidworks, Autodesk or other like Cad/CAM programs. Preferred experience to produce 3d models for production and rendering approval.
• Must possess good communication skills with great attitude, and be technologically savvy.
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must have a positive attitude and a team mentality.
• A solid knowledge of high performance tooling and fixtures
• Must be consistent in program creation and setup notes.
• Select & order proper tooling, edit programs and adjust speeds and feeds as required. Inspect and verify parts by using precision gauges including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bores gauges.
• Must be self-motivated, work efficiently, and able to meet deadlines
• Performs hands on operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Uses hand tools of the trade. Must be able to repair jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Perform sets up, runs off, and tests runs to produce a product to specifications.
Qualifications:
Basic
• 2 to 3 years of CNC programming
• 3D CAD/CAM posting experience and knowledge
• Prefer educational certificate or Associate degree in CNC programming
• Machine shop experience
• CNC Machinist experience.
• Tool & fixture design experience.
Preferred
• Associates degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing/Engineering with 5+ years’ experience working in manufacturing with CAM and G-Code programming & machining experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing/Engineering with 4+ years’ experience working in manufacturing with CAM and G-Code programming & machining experience
• Masters’ degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing/Engineering with 2+ years’ experience working in manufacturing with CAM and G-Code programming & machining experience
