This job is responsible for day to day sub-assembly tasks supporting engine component assembly and inspection. The individual will deal with quality checking, testing and provide high tolerance, high quality parts in a demanding, racing environment.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Disassembly, cleaning, quality checking, crack testing using nondestructive methods.
• Make quality decisions based on known life/usage and condition of the parts
• Measurement, preparation, re-assembly and test of various components to a defined standard and specification.
• Engine and component record keeping to procedures.
• Inspection of cylinder heads and components, and verification they are to the appropriate standard.
• Machining of components and assembly to desired standards.
• Must have full knowledge of measuring equipment and be very detail and service oriented.
• Other duties may be assigned.


Knowledge
• English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Education & Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of recent cylinder head experience

Demonstrated Physical Abilities/Work Environment
Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.
