Ilmor is looking for candidates who have a passion for racing and engines! We are hiring trackside support technicians the position will be hired as an independent contractor. To support our customers while at the race track. Desired Skills & Education
• Knowledge of the Ilmor 396 engine used in the NCWTS and ARCA series, including but not limited to preparation, building, testing and maintenance.
• Excellent customer service in responding to the customers needs in a timely and professional manner. Establishing & building positive customer relationships.
• Manage engines arriving and leaving the facility as instructed by the program manager. Mechanical assessment of customer engines for small repairs.
• At the track the individual must be responsible for the correct procedures pertinent to the program, the running, fault finding, failure diagnosis and trouble shooting of issues related to our engine package.
• Responsible for the mechanical work required to conduct minor engine repairs at our Mooresville facility. Generate reports for team support activity.
• Responsible for all parts consumed and work completed through our Mooresville facility with correct and appropriate documentation.
• Responsible for inventory control for the ICP parts at our Mooresville facility.
• Knowledge of the English language, structure and content.
• Engineering Technology of practical applications of engineering science and technology. Production and processing knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Technical School Degree preferred. CDL is preferred.
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in a trackside support role is preferred.
