Engine Oil Pressure Relief Valve and Pressure Sensor

    Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the midst of designing a dry sump system for our 2019 car, which will use a CBR600F4i engine. I am wondering what other teams have done in terms of relocating/modifying their pressure relief valves. It sticks out the bottom of the main gallery too far for the pan thickness I am targeting, so does anyone know of some reliable relocation methods or perhaps an aftermarket valve that works?

I'm also wondering what other teams have done in terms of sensing oil pressure at the main gallery. Can anyone recommend a sensor to me that has worked well for them? How have you implemented the sensor?

    Thanks in advance,

    Luke

    Gimme relief

So, if you are 'designing' your 'engine', design it with the proper clearances for the optimized oil viscosity and warm to hot temperature and expected rpm band and omit a pressure relief system. It's not a motor that going to circumnavigate the globe, just a few hundred miles/kilometers and then gets shut down because a wheel comes off or a spherical joint pulls out.
