The Vehicle Dynamics & Simulation group at Joe Gibbs Racing is tasked with providing the race teams tools, ideas, and solutions for improving vehicle performance. We develop, validate, and maintain a suite of simulation tools based around our full vehicle model. We also explore and refine concepts to improve the performance of our race vehicles. Physical testing is key to our efforts and we have an expansive set of resources to ensure that our models reflect the physical world.
The Vehicle Dynamics & Simulation group at Joe Gibbs Racing is looking for full time candidates who have an interest in a position that would be involved in any / all of the following areas:
· Vehicle Simulation Development (Tire modeling, Dampers, Aeromaps, Suspension Kinematics)
· Vehicle Simulation Validation (8-Post, Kinematics & Compliance, Wheel Force Car, Wind Tunnel, Damper Dyno, CoG & Inertia)
· Data Analysis (Signal Processing, Optimization Techniques)
· Data Acquisition / Analysis(Sensor Specification, Develop Measurement Techniques, Motec)
· Vehicle Performance Engineering (Performance Metrics, Vehicle Behavior & Handling, Develop Concepts to Improve Performance)
· Facilitate at track testing
Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent
· Strong analytical skills
· Understanding of complex dynamic systems
· Proficient in MATLAB and other programming environments
· Works well in a group setting
· Ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers
· Hands-on mechanical experience a plus
