Description
The Vehicle Dynamics team within the Tire Vehicle Mechanics department is responsible for delivering support on handling, traction and other tire performances for projects related to both consumer and commercial products. The team engages in projects on applied product development as well as innovative technology creation and is currently seeking an experienced engineer to join the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 4 year's experience
- Solid organization and communication skills.
- Ability to carry out assignments in a logical fashion using existing technology and standardized methods.
- Self-motivated individual
- Progressive experience in the industry, preferably in mechanical / automotive engineering or racing is preferred
- Professional experience inside automotive industry or academia for vehicle dynamics
- Experience in signal processing, data acquisition / analysis software, and instrumentation / sensor installation
- Experience in initiating projects and securing funding/management approvals
- Ability to identify development needs and propose innovative solutions
- Strong background in vehicle dynamics or related area
- Interest in the automotive world, testing activities
- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics simulation software packages, data acquisition and processing software, MATLAB
- Proficient computer programming skills
- Works towards transfer of innovative technologies to projects
- Proficient communication skills for an international setting
- Self-motivated individual
- Team player with enthusiasm and initiative
Tasks
- Develop and define project goals to meet specific business needs
- Tire development and vehicle manufactures support through vehicle dynamics investigations
- Development and implementation of analysis / prediction technology for tires in all fields of tire application and vehicle dynamics performance
- Further develop the creativity and innovation capacity of the team
- Force and Moment analysis of tires
- Vehicle Dynamics simulation
