    Question question turbocharger

    Hi...
I have designed a machine like this.
    It designed for 2015 JSAE.
Does it violate the rules ?
I have a problem with the laying of the throttle body.
Is there someone who can help me?

    Thanks,

What do you think is wrong with it?

I don't see any major rules violated for this package alone, unless it violates the intake system planes.

It probably violates the plenum rules on the intake.

How? The plenums and intercooler is after the throttle, the pipe appears to be <60mm.

You're right. Its all downstream of the throttle body.

So what became of this, from the 2014 Rulebook: "T15.9 Throttle Body – The committee is considering changing the position of the throttle body to place it
downstream of the compressor on turbocharged and centrifugally supercharged engines. The restrictor would
remain upstream from the compressor. Naturally aspirated engines would not be impacted by the change."

Are you allowed to place the thottle body down stream? If so, that'll make for some nice gains to compressor oil weep issues (if not flat-foot-shifting) AND if used right, advantageous to spool/anti-lag/flat-foot-shifting.

Edit: Found the 2015 rules and TB is allowed downstream of the turbo. Seems they were quick to hop on and kill some of the fun you could have with that change.
