Gear shifting problem in Honda CBR 600RR Engine

    Hi there,
Our team is facing a serious problem with the first gear of our FS car's engine (2005 Honda CBR 600RR). At a particular orientation of engine's output shaft first gear
doesn't actuate and when we rotate the shaft a little then first gear gets actuated if applied.
    Kindly suggest any possible solution.

Perhaps you could build a complex mechanism of cables and linkages for the driver to manually rotate the output shaft slightly before each shift? Just kidding.

Jokes aside, have you tried releasing the clutch briefly then reapplying it shortly before shifting? Many motorcycle transmissions require a bit of relative motion within the transmission to shift properly. Look at the internals of a motorcycle transmission (or look at a detailed drawing of one) and you'll see why. Assuming this solves your problem, please report back with your findings as to why this is the case, so that others may benefit from your knowledge acquired.

Or if this doesn't fix it, please provide additional details of the problem and what else you have tried (besides rotating the output shaft slightly).

Thanks Rex, we're using electronic actuated pedal shifter. And your idea seems to be very convincing. We'll try this in the next run and let you know if that works.
P.S. that joke was nice indeed!

Assuming the shift sequence being 1-N-2-3-4-5, was it an issue while going from 2 to 1 or from N to 1?

Bike gearboxes are designed to shift whilst the engine is running - you're always going to have dodgy shifts with the engine off if the dogs on the gear selected don't line up with the gear properly. However rotating the output shaft moves them so the engine goes into gear.

When it happens, you have to engage the clutch again while in neutral to spin the gear for new position.

The video below may help you understand better.
