For the 12th year, the SAE Detroit Section will be hosting its annual Formula SAE Workshop at the University of Michigan-Dearborn campus on Saturday, October 26th. It will cover information pertaining to FSAE-E and Formula Hybrid as well as FSAE-C.

Information can be found on the SAE Detroit Section’s web site at:
https://www.sae-detroit.org/event-details/?id=131

Registration will open at 8.30 am and the presentations start at 9.00 am.

The morning presentations will include 2014 Rules Changes, the Design Event, Sponsorship and Team Organization. In the afternoon, there will be parallel break-out sessions that will cover the Presentation Event, Test Planning & Data Acquisition, Aerodynamics, Powertrain & Engine Calibration, and Getting through Technical Inspection.

The presenters include Tony Lyscio, the Chief Design Judge at FSAE Michigan. The day will end with a general Q & A and discussion around vehicles that teams are encouraged to bring.

The cost is $10 for pre-registered SAE student members and $15 for students who are not SAE members or for those who register on the day of the event.

Although on-site participation is encouraged and more beneficial, for the morning sessions, WebEx will be available for teams who are unable to attend in person. (Webex will not be available for the afternoon break-out sessions.) The cost for WebEx is $20, and an access code will be emailed to registrants prior to the workshop.
