Thread: brakes calipers lines master cylinders pads fittings supplier links

  1. #1
Unfortunately, there is no LINKS page on the FSAE.com website, so I'm going to try to put one together to help everyone. I'm asking for help with website links to part manufacturers/suppliers. The plan is to have links for drivetrain, engine, intake and exhaust, oils and fluids, electronics, engine management, data acquisition, suspension and dampers, chassis, brakes, body, rims/wheels, and tires.

This one is brake system related. If you know of anymore brake component options, please reply with a website link.

Just came across some cool Australian Kart brakes who's 2 and 4 piston callipers might make great FSAE callipers.

Dont know anything about them, but they look nice and would mount a lot better than bike callipers.

This is a post for design resources for just about all aspects of the car that I stumbled on a little while ago, there are a few brakes links in there, they might be of use to you. It's just a pity you can't make a sticky topic on these forums. (polls might be useful too...)

There's a "Links" page on fsae.com, but it's pretty unused, perhaps if someone would put all the links together in an HTML page, it could get posted on there by the owner of the site (which, it occours to me, I don't know who that'd be)

I call "not it" since it was my idea

I'm hijacking this thread if it's ok - if not please could admin move it to a new one.

These nifty little 32mm twin-piston Brembo calipers - where are you sourcing these?

The only UK supplier I can find is MotoMecca (Moto Guzzi) at 75 quid a caliper ($150US)

From the US you get this distributor list from Brembo:
    http://www.brembo.com/US/Motorcycles...stributors.htm
and the only ones interested in supplying the calipers are TAW: (awaiting price)
    http://www.tawvehicle.com/brembo_P32B_P32F_P105.htm

    1Tail.com have them at ~$85US

Anywhere else I should be looking? Brembo aren't particularly interested in selling me some or referring me to a distributor, and I seem to remember them doing the round last year at $60 US each. A guy from college will be in teh US until July so paying in USD/shipping to a US address then forwarding isn't a problem.

We got them from TAW. Good service, great price, great caliper. We used Wilwoods before and I don't think of any reason to go back.

I seem to remember we payed around $60 US each.

Anybody know where to source the Brembo P30B's as seen on this page:

    http://www.tawvehicle.com/brembo_P28N.htm

I'm told that they are out of stock in the U.S. and it will take around 2 months to get them from Italy.
