Thread: Weight of Engines

    This topic comes up often but there isn't thread dedicated to it. It is useful information for us but is tough to find online. I was thinking we could all share information on this.

    I'll start.

    F4i approx 130lb wet and dirty.

    R6r is about the same, 120 dry and dirty as well. Figure by the time you put fluids in, they're gonna be the same.

    We weighed our R6 motor a few years back (2005 model).

    Engine: Dry and without sump or the rubber mounts for the standard intake system. 56kg

    Oil: We had about 2kg

    Coolant: Around 2.5kg

    EDIT: It was the 2005 model
