FSAE teams can purchase wheels directly from BBS for $200 for the 3 piece wheels shown higher up this thread. We've been running them since '02.

we use 2 of the aim mychron beacons with their mychron lite lap timer, or with our mychron3 dashlogger. really easy to set up, and the basic lap timer is pretty affordable.

if you speak to the folks at risse, they can have springs wound for you. i've never seen mtb springs go that low however - most mountain bikes run spring rates that are much higher than what we use...
