I am very surprised more people are not going. I remember back in the day this was the prime event for all FSAE teams.
There is a massive career fair and the networking possibilities are endless.
They donot give you the paper. You have to buy the papers online IF you want it. Many a times the authors are nice enough to forward you the working paper version possibly through email. There are...
You should be fine in Dearborn. If you're near Garden city in dearborn even better. I am just exagerating a bit about Detroit. Just keep to yourself and don't walk around in the "not good" areas...
My paper is published by ASME. I am just doing an oral presentation at SAE. Search your library's ASME publications/proceedings for "Joy Pathak - An Aerodynamic Study..." and it should pop up. If you...
The SAE World Congress is approaching. Discount tickets are gone by March 26th.
Anyone attending?
I am presenting on April 12th regarding CFD for design Low drag in low speed vehicles!
I am going to be there presenting a paper relevant to CFD to develop low-drag coefficent vehicles. It uses examples of Formula SAE and SAE Supermileages.
Body and Engineering division.

lambo and UW prof are giving this huge lecture at ASME congress in November at Orlando. The VP of Lambo is coming down and they are releasing some new Lamborghini.
Yeah, I know, a bit too soon, but I was just wondering who else that submitted abstracts/extended abstracts/papers, got accepted for the 2010 SAE World Congress? They have been sending out acceptance...

Rotating cylinder instead of wings would by fun. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Ah the Great Scott Wordley.
One of the reasons I got into FSAE was after seeing the 02 Monash car I think. Talked to Roan for like hours and hours at a time about Wings on msn.
I think I still...
Proving wings work is super easy, especially the downforce calculations.
It's all about breaking the mentality.
At my school I was refused to build an aero package because nobody wanted to build...
I bet if you went back and averaged the finishing times of the winged cars vs. the nekked cars, you'd find a pretty consistent trend. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Lol...but...but..but...a Winged car WON....
Technically...with wings...It would be bigger the better given the speed limitations. But maybe Missouri or UTA have found some exceptions? Multi-element obviously though.
Nvm. Just saw on the course website that is counts as 1 elective course credit and 3 design credits.
Solid.
But... a winged car won FSAE? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
Gotta make this open to other SAE teams too. Supermileage uses tons of CFD for their body design.
What does everyone think of Wings NOW?
Just an additional question for Wisconsin Team regarding credit.
Does it count as a credit if you do FSAE at Wisconsin-Madison?
I am coming in as a PhD student this Fall semester for Materials...
