Sounds like a very good place to start :)
This is the part with the real engineering! I don't think anyone can conclusively tell you how much is acceptable, you have to take what you (and your team) knows about your tires, your drivers, your...
Thank you to Z and Doug for reminding me and everyone else of some of the other load cases, which for most teams will be more frequently encountered than anything found on-track... Although I don't...
In addition to what Bill and Doug mentioned, rather than taking a "will it break" approach, figure out how much deflection you can live with. I'm definitely no expert here, but think in terms of...
Anyone know of any way to get to that "a couple of hours" link now that it 404s? I'm very curious...
Better hope Claude doesn't end up as your design judge!
I am going to hazard a guess and say you're relatively new to Formula - it's a good idea to give some introduction of yourself, and some...

It has more to do with cams designed for operation at 14,000rpm than anything. The best I've gotten at idle is around 80kPa.
Are they hosted anywhere/any chance you could email them? My email is mea2145 at columbia dot edu
Big huge bump, but anyone have any updates on this, or any good autox/endurance layouts?
Although most of the time trying to do FSAE in Manhattan is a hindrance, when it comes to quick food, it's unbeatable. There are at least a dozen places to eat delicious food within a 10 minute walk,...
Pizza!!
Why don't you just fill a bucket?
That would be correct.
I know this is an old thread but here goes maybe someone could shed some light on my confusion:
based on the info I found in the links above, it is explained that the pressure generated by the...
