A 3-point swing (for yaw) is pretty easy to sort out, make a stage and hang it from the ceiling. Chain friction and inertia of the stage can be easily calibrated out, not much can go wrong. The roll...

what about clutch lockouts? I know they're useful on buggies, has anyone used one on these engines?
Does that mean that theres 2" or so of exposed sliding surface above and below the upright on the rails? what sort of slop did you have?

Provided you warm her up nicely (metho works well), an old Briggs mower goes ballistic running on kerosene. I dont know what this does to gaskets and seals, but it smells pretty.
