My apologies for the incorrect statement. It was a big weekend. I was sure we set a 46.8 which...
There is no violation of the rules here as the vent is between 2 seals. The intake system is sealed, sealed as good as the piston ring during induction anyway or in the same way as if the stardard...
Hello all, below is a link to an SAE paper which I wrote which solves the oil control issues for throttled compressors for all you turbocharging guys who are having oil issues. It is sheduled to be...

Bigwig, Dont forget to look at the simulation data for varying exhaust geometries in the paper 2006-01-3637. The engine is very different to many out there. It is odd fire (0-180) due to the inline...
Thanks guys. Its been a while since I posted anything, busy with the Phd.

Just wondering if anyone has any footage of the first enduro from the 2004 Australian event. In particular of the Melb Uni car running in the middle of the session.
Thanks

Where not so high tech here at Melb Uni. In 2003, when we suspected our rim centres were flexing like crazy, out came the chewing gum which was carefully placed on the brake caliper, 10mm from the...
Firstly, congrats to all teams who made it to the event. An achievment in itself.
A special thanks to all those involved in the Melbourne University FSAE team this year. It was an achievement...

Farls, who ever you are. I might have to take you off the Christmas card list. After doing fsae for 5 years, the most important thing I have learnt to achieve a good result is to build a car early...
You guys, please stop bagging Ric
To quote stevep
"i'm dissapointed to see this sort of shit aired in public, at least we'd managed to keep the in-fighting and bitching to the overworked...
Steve, relax buddy. Just trying to give the guys, including myself who are working flat out on the car a laugh. No mallice intended. We left all that behind 3 weeks ago when we decided to put the...
Here at Melbourne Uni, we diversify our plan of attack by always making sure there are multiple backup plans for all components. A good example would be our engine which I was told was unreliable.

Intercooler is bad news in terms of throttle response and driveability with all that extra volume between the throttle and engine.
We run 22psi boost at 6000RPM and about 12psi boost at 10000RPM...
