i am a former member of an Indian FSAE team (IKR, BITS Pilani).
i am nearing the end of my undergraduate studies and am really passionate about a career in motorsports. Problem is that racing is not that big either in our college or our country. I am looking for some help (have questions) with how to go about pursuing this career (higher studies, projects, topics to study).
I was the structure subsystem head and team project manager for my team. So my design experience is mainly with chassis structure design and bodyworks design. But i am currently looking to move into Vehicle Dynamics (studying RCVD mostly). I am really hoping that you can help me out a little.
Thanks a lot,
I have read all your posts on direct acting suspension setup and wish to follow your advice of running low Motion Ratios using a direct acting setup for our next year's car. I have started a thread and would like if you put your thoughts on the same and help me on the same.
The thread is named "Direct Acting Spring Damper"
Just dropping a quick hello to keep in touch. I haven't been on here since the 'new' forums came in, not a fan as I liked the old ones much more.
It's getting close to the time where I start back at university and (fingers crossed) the FSAE program once more. Given that I stepped on a few toes last year if I rejoin the program I think I will have to keep the 'different' ideas to a minimum just in order to get a car out and built. As always I'll keep you updated and will probably have a good number of questions too!
I hope this finds you well,
P.S I tried to send this as a private message but your inbox is full.
