We just got SolidWorks 2012 at work and I noticed it now has a tool that can estimate the cost to manufacture a machined or sheet metal part.
I would be very interested to see how it compares to the values generated for the cost report.
Also if any teams pay to have parts made it would be super interesting to see how the two estimations compare to the real thing.
I know that many teams won't have the new Solidworks yet, but keep it in mind during the next desing cycle.
